1/20/10 Port-au-Prince, Haiti  - A small medical team headed up by Dr. Henri Ford, cq, Vice President and Chief of Surgery at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles trekked through the ravaged streets of Port-au-Prince on Wednesday, January 20, to spread the word of the IMSuRT/DMAT hospital near the soccer field. He and the medical team encountered a number of people who needed immediate medical attention, and they performed several minor bandage changes and consults. After the 2010 earthquake that devastated Haiti, The Boston Globe followed the story of one young amputee for 18 months. This video is the first of three stories of how she and her family coped with disaster and of the New Hampshire prosthetics team that tried to help.
