Cacaopera, El Salvador 04/03/20007 - Suzanne Berghaus embraces her birth parents for the first time in 24 years on Tuesday morning, April 3, 2007. They family had decorated their home with signs, balloons and streamers, but the big lunch had to wait for two hours of crying and hugging. Suzanne hadn't seen her parents since an army lieutenant snatched her from a hammock 24 years ago during El Salvador's brutal civil war, when she was 14 months old. Suzanne met her mother, Maria Venancia Sáenz, her father, Valentin Argueta, cq both, and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
